Today we went on excursion to the pittoresk town of Wielsbeke near Kortrijk. We were invited by one of the only producers of interlocking hempcrete blocks for construction purposes. Here you can find some pictures.
Isohemp had us prepared a lunch with an extensive and interesting report on how the hemp blocks form a construction material of the future because of its absorbing properties among other safety aspects.
Besides the interesting and thorough report on the construction there was also time for some networking with the other invitees. At the end each participant got a sample: a (small) hempcrete block to show around.
